How it works
Smoothing the contour around the bag
Under-eye bags often look worse because of the hollow groove beneath them. Filling that groove with soft hyaluronic acid makes the transition smoother, so the bag looks smaller. Can eye bags really be removed without surgery?
Not completely. The fat pad stays, but blending the hollow below it and tightening the skin can make mild bags much less noticeable. Large bags usually need a surgical opinion.
Does it hurt?
Numbing cream is applied, and filler usually contains lidocaine. A cannula is often used to reduce discomfort and bruising.
Is there downtime?
Mild swelling usually lasts two to five days and a small bruise is possible. Many patients go out the next day with light concealer.
How long do results last?
Under-eye filler often lasts around a year or more, and tightening results build over three months. Your doctor will suggest maintenance if needed.
