Quick answer · What is Knee Whitening?
Knee whitening is a course of low-energy laser toning, such as pico or Q-switched Nd:YAG, combined with exfoliating peels and, where suitable, skin boosters. The laser breaks up excess melanin for the body to clear, while peels remove the thickened, rough skin typical of knees. Sessions take 20–40 minutes with little to no downtime, and most patients need five to ten sessions about two weeks apart.

How it works
Lightening pigment and smoothing thickened skin together
Dark knees usually combine extra melanin with a thicker, rougher surface layer from friction and kneeling. Laser toning breaks up the pigment gently, and exfoliating peels such as AHA or LHA thin the rough outer layer. Boosters may be added to support skin repair and hydration.

Skin assessment
Your doctor checks the pigmentation and skin thickness and plans the laser and peel combination.
-
Laser & peel
Low-energy laser passes are made over the knees, followed by an exfoliating peel or booster as planned.
-
Progressive brightening
Texture often feels smoother after one or two sessions, and tone lightens gradually over the course.
Before & after
Lighter, smoother knees
Most patients notice smoother texture early and a gradually lighter, more even tone over a course of sessions. Reducing friction at home helps keep the result.
