Quick answer · What is Body Fillers?
Body fillers are dense hyaluronic acid gels designed for larger areas such as the hips, buttocks and other body hollows. Injected with a cannula beneath the skin, they add volume immediately to smooth hip dips, round contours or correct asymmetry, and hyaluronic acid can be dissolved if needed. A session takes 45–90 minutes. Soreness or bruising lasts a few days, and results typically last 12–24 months.

How it works
Volume placed where your contour dips
Body fillers are more cohesive than facial fillers, so they hold shape across larger areas. Your doctor places the gel with a blunt cannula in the layer beneath the skin, building volume gradually and shaping it as they go. Because it is hyaluronic acid, it can be adjusted or dissolved with hyaluronidase.
-
Contour planning
Your doctor assesses your shape standing and lying, marks the hollows and agrees the volume with you. Local anaesthetic is used.
-
Cannula injection
Filler is placed through a few small entry points with a cannula and moulded for a smooth transition.
-
Settling
The new contour is visible straight away. Swelling settles and the final shape is clear within one to two weeks.

FAQ
Body Fillers questions we hear every day
Does body filler hurt?
Local anaesthetic is used at entry points and the filler contains anaesthetic, so most patients feel pressure rather than pain. Soreness afterwards usually lasts a few days.
How long do body fillers last?
Results typically last 12 to 24 months, depending on the area, product and your activity level. Top-ups can maintain the shape.
Is there downtime after body fillers?
Bruising, swelling and tenderness are common for three to five days. Most patients return to light activities straight away but avoid exercise, massage and saunas for about two weeks.
Can body fillers be reversed?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed. Your doctor will explain this at consultation.
Are body fillers the same as a BBL?
No. A BBL is surgery using your own fat, while body fillers are a non-surgical injection for moderate contour changes. You can see results in our body fillers before and after photos.
How much do body fillers cost in Myeongdong?
Price for body fillers depends on the area and the volume of filler needed. The same price list applies to every nationality and is given to you in writing before treatment. See our filler and botox price list.
