Quick answer · What is Laser & Energy Devices?
Laser and energy devices use light, radiofrequency or ultrasound to treat the skin at a chosen depth. Lasers such as pico and toning target pigment, CO2 and pico fractional lasers resurface texture and scars, RF microneedling remodels pores and scars, and ultrasound or RF lifting devices tighten deeper tissue. Most sessions take 15–60 minutes, with downtime ranging from none to about a week, and results usually build over several weeks.

How it works
Matching the energy to the depth of the problem
Pigment sits in the epidermis or upper dermis, scars and pores sit in the dermis, and sagging involves deeper support layers. Each device delivers energy to a specific depth, so the doctor chooses by concern rather than by brand. Several devices are often combined in one plan for tone, texture and firmness.

FAQ
Laser & Energy Devices questions we hear every day
Which laser is best for pigmentation?
It depends on the type. Sun spots respond well to pico or Q-switched lasers, while melasma usually needs gentle laser toning over several sessions. Your doctor confirms the type at consultation.
Which device is best for acne scars?
Textured scars often respond to RF microneedling, pico fractional or CO2 laser, sometimes combined. The choice depends on scar type and how much downtime you can have.
What is the difference between Ultherapy and Thermage?
Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound to lift deeper support layers, while Thermage uses radiofrequency to tighten the skin itself. Read more about Thermage FLX or ask your doctor which suits you.
Is there downtime after laser treatment?
Toning and lifting devices usually have little or none, while resurfacing lasers can cause redness and flaking for several days. Your plan will state the expected downtime before treatment.
Can I have more than one device on the same day?
Often yes, if the treatments work at different depths and suit your skin. Your doctor plans the order and spacing to keep it safe.
How much does laser and energy device treatment cost in Myeongdong?
Price depends on the device, area and number of sessions. The same price list applies to every nationality and is given to you in writing before treatment. See our pico, toning and acne price list.
