Quick answer · What is Body Skin Whitening?

Body skin whitening is a tailored programme that combines low-energy laser toning, such as pico or Q-switched Nd:YAG, with body peels and brightening care to even out uneven tone, sun spots and post-inflammatory marks on the body. Some patients add an IV antioxidant drip as supportive care. Sessions take 30–60 minutes with no downtime, and most patients need five to ten weekly or fortnightly sessions.

How it works

Targeting pigment where it shows, area by area

Laser toning breaks up excess melanin in sun spots, tan lines and post-inflammatory marks so the body can clear it gradually. Body peels lift dull surface cells and help brightening ingredients work. Your doctor builds the plan around the areas, your skin type and the cause of the unevenness.

  1. Tone assessment

Your doctor examines the areas, identifies the type of pigmentation and plans the laser, peel and care combination.

  2. Toning & peel

Low-energy laser passes are made over each area, followed by a peel or soothing brightening care as planned.

  3. Cumulative brightening

There is no downtime. Tone becomes more even and skin looks brighter over a series of sessions.

FAQ

Body Skin Whitening questions we hear every day

Does body skin whitening hurt?

Most patients feel light snapping or warmth from the laser and mild tingling from peels. It is usually well tolerated without numbing.

How many sessions are needed?

Most patients need five to ten sessions, weekly or every two weeks. Visible change is usually seen after about four to six sessions.

Is there downtime?

No. Mild redness may last a few hours, and you can return to normal activities straight away. Use sunscreen on exposed areas.

Do IV whitening drips work?

Antioxidant IV drips such as glutathione are sometimes used as supportive care, but evidence for skin lightening is limited. Your doctor focuses on laser and topical care and only adds a drip if suitable for you.

Can I combine it with other treatments?

Yes. Many patients add underarm whitening or knee whitening for darker areas in the same visit. Your doctor plans settings for each area.

How much does body skin whitening cost in Myeongdong?

Price depends on the areas, the treatments combined and the number of sessions. The same price list applies to every nationality and you receive it in writing before treatment. See our toning price list.
