Quick answer · What is Thermage FLX?
Thermage FLX is a non-surgical skin-tightening treatment that uses monopolar radiofrequency to heat the deep dermis. The heat contracts existing collagen for an immediate firming effect and triggers new collagen over the next two to six months. One session typically takes 45–60 minutes, with no downtime, and results usually last about a year.

How it works
Radiofrequency heat, delivered evenly and kept comfortable
Unlike ultrasound lifting, which targets precise points, Thermage FLX spreads radiofrequency energy across a broad volume of tissue. The FLX system's AccuREP technology reads your skin before each pulse and adjusts the energy, while built-in cooling and vibration protect the surface and reduce discomfort.
-
Mapping & numbing
Your doctor marks a treatment grid on cleansed skin. Topical numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes if you want it.
-
Radiofrequency pulses
The tip cools, vibrates and delivers a pulse of heat, square by square. You feel short bursts of warmth, adjusted to your comfort.
-
Collagen remodelling
Skin looks smoother the same day. Tightening continues as new collagen forms, peaking around three to six months.
Before & after
Smoother texture, a crisper jawline
Most patients notice skin feels tighter straight away, with the clearest change in jawline definition and cheek texture appearing after two to three months, as new collagen forms.

FAQ
Thermage FLX questions we hear every day
Does Thermage FLX hurt?
Most patients describe brief pulses of deep warmth. The FLX tip cools and vibrates with each pulse, numbing cream is available, and your doctor adjusts the energy to what you can comfortably tolerate.
When will I see results from Thermage FLX?
Skin often looks smoother and firmer the same day. The main tightening builds gradually over two to six months as new collagen forms.
How long do Thermage FLX results last?
Results typically last around 12 months, and sometimes longer depending on age, skin quality and lifestyle. Many patients repeat once every 12 to 18 months to maintain them.
Is there downtime after Thermage FLX?
No. Mild redness or slight swelling may last a few hours. You can wear makeup and go out the same day, which suits short trips to Seoul.
Thermage FLX or Ultherapy Prime: which is better?
They work at different depths. Thermage FLX uses radiofrequency to tighten the skin itself, while Ultherapy Prime uses focused ultrasound to lift deeper support layers. Many patients combine both; your doctor recommends based on your skin at consultation.
How much does Thermage FLX cost in Myeongdong?
Price depends on the area and number of shots. The same price list applies to every nationality and is given to you in writing before treatment. See our lifting price list.
