Quick answer · What is Stretch Mark Treatment?
Stretch mark treatment combines fractional laser, radiofrequency microneedling and, where suitable, skin boosters to remodel the damaged dermis under stretch marks. Controlled micro-injuries stimulate new collagen, which makes marks flatter, narrower and closer to the surrounding skin tone. Sessions take 45–90 minutes, redness usually lasts two to three days, and most patients need three to five sessions 4–6 weeks apart. Marks fade but rarely disappear completely.

How it works
Controlled micro-injuries that rebuild collagen in the scar
Stretch marks are a form of scarring where the dermis has torn and healed thinly. Fractional laser and RF microneedling create thousands of tiny treatment zones, prompting the skin to lay down new, more organised collagen. Red, early marks often respond faster than older white or silver marks, so your doctor tailors the device mix to the age and colour of your marks.
-
Mark assessment
Your doctor checks the colour, width and depth of your marks and chooses the device combination for each area.
-
Numbing & treatment
Numbing cream is applied, then fractional laser or RF microneedling passes are made over the marks, sometimes followed by a booster.
-
Skin remodelling
Redness settles in a few days. Texture and colour improve gradually as new collagen forms over the following months.
Before & after
Flatter, less visible marks
Most patients see marks become flatter, narrower and closer in colour to the surrounding skin over a course of treatment. Improvement is gradual, and complete removal is not usually possible.

FAQ
Stretch Mark Treatment questions we hear every day
Does stretch mark treatment hurt?
Numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes first. Most patients feel heat and prickling during the passes, which your doctor keeps within a comfortable range.
How many sessions are needed?
Most patients need three to five sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Older white marks usually need more sessions than newer red ones.
Can stretch marks be removed completely?
Usually not. Treatment typically makes marks flatter, narrower and less noticeable, but some trace often remains. Your doctor will give you a realistic expectation at consultation.
Is there downtime?
Expect redness, mild swelling and a sunburn-like feeling for two to three days, and tiny dots or flaking for up to a week. Avoid sun, saunas and swimming for a few days.
Which devices are used?
Depending on your marks, the plan may combine fractional laser such as Pico Fraxel, RF microneedling and a regenerative booster. The mix is chosen for your skin type and the age of the marks.
How much does stretch mark treatment cost in Myeongdong?
Price depends on the size of the area, the devices used and the number of sessions. The same price list applies to every nationality and you receive it in writing before treatment. See our laser and scar price list.
