Quick answer · What is PRP Therapy?

PRP Therapy is a regenerative skin treatment that uses platelet-rich plasma from your own blood. A small sample is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, which release growth factors that stimulate collagen and tissue repair. The PRP is then injected or applied with microneedling. A visit takes 45–60 minutes, with mild redness or swelling for 1–2 days, usually in a course of three sessions.

How it works

Concentrated growth factors from your own platelets

Platelets contain growth factors that signal skin cells to repair tissue and produce new collagen and elastin. Concentrating them in a centrifuge and placing them in the dermis amplifies that signal. Because PRP comes from your own blood, the risk of allergic reaction is very low.

  1. Blood draw & numbing

A small blood sample is taken from your arm while numbing cream is applied to the treatment area.

  2. Centrifuge preparation

The sample is spun to separate and concentrate the platelet-rich plasma, ready for use in the same visit.

  3. Injection or microneedling

PRP is placed into the skin with fine injections or microneedling. Glow appears within days and texture builds over weeks.

FAQ

PRP Therapy questions we hear every day

Does PRP Therapy hurt?

Numbing cream is applied first, so most patients feel only light pressure or stinging. The blood draw feels like a routine blood test.

How many PRP sessions do I need?

A course of three sessions about four weeks apart is commonly recommended. Many patients then maintain once or twice a year.

Is there downtime after PRP?

Mild redness, swelling or small bruises can last 24 to 48 hours, especially under the eyes. Most people resume normal activities the next day.

When will I see results from PRP?

A healthy glow often appears within a few days. Improvements in firmness and texture develop gradually over three to six weeks.

PRP or exosome: which is better?

PRP uses growth factors from your own blood, while exosome therapy uses a prepared regenerative solution with no blood draw. Your doctor recommends based on your skin and preferences.

How much does PRP Therapy cost in Myeongdong?

Pricing for PRP Therapy depends on the treatment area, delivery method and number of sessions. The same price list applies to every nationality and you receive it in writing before treatment. See our stem cell and PRP price list.
