Quick answer · What is Nasolabial Fold Fillers?

Nasolabial fold fillers are hyaluronic acid injections that soften the creases running from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. The gel supports the fold from beneath and may be combined with cheek filler where mid-face volume has been lost. A session takes about 20–30 minutes, with mild swelling or bruising for a few days, and results usually last 9–12 months.

How it works

Support from beneath the fold

Deep nasolabial folds often reflect volume loss in the cheeks as well as the fold itself. Your doctor places a medium-firm hyaluronic acid gel beneath the crease, often by cannula, and may add support higher in the cheek so the fold softens without looking overfilled. This area has important blood vessels, so careful technique matters.

  1. Assessment & numbing

Your doctor checks the fold at rest and when smiling, then applies numbing cream for about 20 minutes.

  2. Cannula or needle injection

Filler is placed in small amounts beneath the fold, slowly and with frequent checks, to soften the crease evenly.

  3. Settle & review

The fold looks softer immediately; any swelling settles over a few days.

FAQ

Nasolabial Fold Fillers questions we hear every day

Do nasolabial fold fillers hurt?

Numbing cream and lidocaine in the filler keep it comfortable for most patients. You may feel pressure and brief stinging.

Will I look overfilled?

Your doctor aims to soften rather than erase the folds, and may treat the cheeks instead of overloading the fold. A conservative amount looks more natural with expression.

Are there risks with nasolabial fillers?

Bruising and swelling are common. A rare but serious risk is filler entering a blood vessel; doctors reduce this with careful technique and cannula use, and hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if needed.

How long do the results last?

Results typically last about 9–12 months, depending on the product, the depth of the folds and your metabolism.

Should I treat the cheeks too?

Often, yes. When folds are caused by mid-face volume loss, cheek fillers can lift and soften them more naturally than filling the fold alone.

How much do nasolabial fold fillers cost in Myeongdong?

Price depends on the number of syringes needed. The same price list applies to every nationality and is given to you in writing before treatment. See our filler and botox price list.
