Quick answer · What is Marionette Line Fillers?

Marionette line fillers are hyaluronic acid injections that soften the lines running from the corners of the mouth towards the chin and support downturned mouth corners. They may be combined with botox to relax the muscle that pulls the corners down. A session takes about 20–30 minutes, with mild swelling for a few days, and results usually last 9–12 months.

How it works

Support for the mouth corners

Marionette lines form as volume is lost around the mouth and the depressor muscle pulls the corners downward. Your doctor places soft to medium hyaluronic acid gel beneath the lines and corners to support them, and may suggest a small dose of botox to the muscle for a more lasting lift.

  1. Assessment & numbing

Your doctor checks the lines at rest and with expression, then applies numbing cream.

  2. Targeted injection

Small amounts of filler are placed beneath the lines and mouth corners by needle or cannula.

  3. Soften & settle

The area looks smoother straight away; any swelling settles within a few days.

FAQ

Marionette Line Fillers questions we hear every day

Do marionette line fillers hurt?

Most patients feel mild pressure and stinging. Numbing cream and lidocaine in the filler keep it comfortable.

How long do the results last?

Results typically last about 9–12 months, as the area around the mouth moves a lot.

Should I combine filler with botox?

Often it helps. A small dose of marionette line botox relaxes the muscle pulling the corners down, while filler supports the lines from beneath.

Is there downtime?

Mild swelling or small bruises may last a few days. Avoid pressing on the area and skip saunas for 24–48 hours.

Will it change my smile?

No, when placed conservatively your smile stays natural. Your doctor checks movement throughout, and hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved if needed.

How much do marionette line fillers cost in Myeongdong?

Price depends on the number of syringes needed. The same price list applies to every nationality and is given to you in writing before treatment. See our filler and botox price list.
