Jaw Botox, or masseter Botox, is an injection of botulinum toxin into the masseter, the main chewing muscle at the angle of the jaw. Relaxing the muscle makes it gradually reduce in bulk, so a square or wide lower face looks slimmer and softer. It can also ease clenching and grinding. How it works
A less active muscle gradually slims
The masseter can become enlarged through genetics, chewing habits or clenching, which widens the lower face. Botulinum toxin reduces how strongly it contracts, and over several weeks the less-used muscle reduces in size. Normal chewing and speaking continue, and the dose is set for your muscle thickness and symmetry.
