Quick answer · What is Hangover IV Therapy?

Hangover IV therapy is an infusion of saline or Ringer's solution with electrolytes and B vitamins, given over 30–60 minutes. It treats the dehydration that contributes to hangover symptoms such as headache and thirst, and many people feel better afterwards. It does not speed up how the body clears alcohol. A doctor screens you first, there is no downtime, and severe symptoms need medical care.

How it works

Replacing fluids when drinking water is hard

Alcohol increases fluid loss, and nausea can make it hard to drink enough water. An IV delivers fluids and electrolytes directly, which can ease thirst, headache and tiredness. Vitamins may be added, but time, rest and food remain what actually help the body recover from alcohol.

  1. Quick assessment

A doctor checks your symptoms, how much you drank, medicines and health; very severe symptoms are referred for urgent care.

  2. Rehydration drip

Fluids and electrolytes run through a fine cannula in your arm over 30–60 minutes while you rest.

  3. Recover

The cannula is removed; eat something light, keep drinking water and take the day gently.

FAQ

Hangover IV Therapy questions we hear every day

Does a hangover IV work?

It reliably treats dehydration, which drives much of the thirst, headache and fatigue. It does not remove alcohol faster, so rest and food are still needed.

How quickly will I feel better?

Many people feel more comfortable during or soon after the drip, but it varies. If symptoms are severe or unusual, the doctor may advise medical care instead.

Is it safe after drinking?

Usually yes once you are sober enough to give consent and a doctor has checked you. We do not treat patients who are still intoxicated or showing warning signs.

Does it hurt?

There is a brief pinch as the cannula goes in. Most patients lie back and rest for the remainder of the session.

What else helps?

Water, a light meal and sleep. If you are mainly dehydrated from heat or travel, a hydration IV is similar.

How much does hangover IV therapy cost in Myeongdong?

Pricing depends on the drip formula and any add-ins, and on whether you book a single session or a course. The same price list applies to every nationality and you receive it in writing before treatment. See our price list.
