Each smile or squint tightens the muscle around the eye and folds the thin skin at its outer corner. A few small, shallow doses of botulinum toxin reduce this pull, so the lines fold less and look smoother. Doses stay at the outer edge, away from the eye, to keep smiling and blinking natural.
