Quick answer · What is Chest Acne?

Chest acne is acne on the upper chest caused by the same mix of oil, clogged follicles, bacteria and inflammation as facial acne, often worsened by sweat, friction and heavy body products. Some chest bumps are fungal folliculitis, which needs different care. At RE:BERRY Clinic, a doctor confirms the cause, then uses calming lasers such as Genesis toning or LDM to settle spots and fade marks. Sessions take 20–30 minutes with little downtime.

How it works

Settle active spots first, then fade the marks

The chest has many oil glands and is often covered by clothing that traps sweat, so follicles clog and become inflamed. Treatment calms inflammation and oil, then targets the red or brown marks left behind. Because fungal folliculitis looks similar but needs antifungal care, the doctor checks this first and may suggest prescription treatment.

  1. Doctor assessment

Your doctor examines the chest, asks about sport, clothing and products, and rules out fungal or other causes.

  2. Tailored treatment

Calming laser or LDM is applied to active areas, with pigment-focused toning for dark marks where needed.

  3. Follow-up and maintenance

Sessions repeat every two to three weeks, with written aftercare, skincare tips and WhatsApp follow-up.

FAQ

Chest Acne questions we hear every day

Is chest acne the same as face acne?

It forms in a similar way, but sweat, friction and body products play a bigger role on the chest. Some chest breakouts are actually fungal folliculitis, which looks similar but needs antifungal treatment, so a doctor check comes first.

Which treatment is best for chest acne?

Calming lasers such as Genesis toning and LDM help settle inflammation and redness, while toning helps fade dark marks. Severe or widespread acne may also need prescription medication.

How many sessions do I need?

Most patients have three to five sessions two to three weeks apart. Marks usually take longer to fade than active spots settle.

Can the dark marks on my chest be removed?

Brown marks usually fade well with pigmentation treatment and sun protection over several sessions. Raised or deep scars need different treatment and may improve rather than disappear.

Can I swim or go to the gym after treatment?

Most patients can shower the same day. Avoid saunas, hot baths, intense workouts and strong sun on the area for about a day after laser.

How much does chest acne treatment cost in Myeongdong?

Price depends on the treatment, the size of the area and the number of sessions. The same price list applies to every nationality and is given to you in writing before treatment. See our pico toning and acne price list.
