Age spots, also called liver spots or solar lentigines, are flat brown spots with defined edges caused by years of sun exposure, usually on the face, hands and forearms. How it works
Why age spots respond to targeted laser
Age spots form where long-term UV exposure has led to a local build-up of melanin. A pigment laser delivers short pulses absorbed by that melanin, breaking it into fragments the skin clears over the following weeks. Raised, rough spots are often seborrhoeic keratoses rather than true age spots and may be treated with CO2 laser instead.

Can age spots be removed permanently?
Treated spots often clear or fade substantially, but new spots can form with ongoing sun exposure. Daily sunscreen helps keep results.
Are age spots dangerous?
True age spots are harmless. A spot that grows, bleeds, itches or changes colour should be checked by a doctor, and a dermatology assessment or biopsy may be advised.
Which treatment is best for age spots?

How many sessions are needed?
One or two sessions are often enough for flat spots, spaced at least four weeks apart. Deeper or larger spots may need more.
Is there downtime, and can I fly home afterwards?
